Chiropractor
Katherine Salazar, D.C.
Dr. Katherine Salazar was born and raised in MN. She attended Luther College where she studied biology, exercise physiology and Spanish. During her college years, she discovered her passion for chiropractic and attended Northwestern Health Sciences University where she received her Doctorate in Chiropractic.
During her education at NWHSU, Dr. Salazar specialized in Diversified adjusting, sports chiropractic, applied kinesiology and nutrition. She believed that we should not only take care of our bodies physically but also fuel ourself on the inside nutritionally. She works with various people from laborious workers/traumas, athletes to pregnancy and babies.
In her off time, Dr. Salazar also trains and at FarmHouse CrossFit and is a L-1 trainer. She values fitness and encourages her patients to do the same. She understands that exercise is not only beneficial for her own health but so she is able to do this job for as many years as she can.
CHIROPRACTOR & CLINICAL DIRECTOR
TROY BJORKLUND, D.C.
Dr. Troy Bjorklund was born and raised in Minnesota. He attended St. Cloud State University where he played baseball and did his undergraduate work. He then attended Northwestern College of Chiropractic where he received his BS in Human Biology and his Doctorate in Chiropractic.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Troy has a passion for overall body health and wellness. He educates patients daily on the importance of nutrition, a healthy spine, and a body free of nerve interference. His experience includes working with day-old infants, professional athletes, as well as the growing elderly population. With that comes additional training and certification in the biomechanics of low-speed impacts (whiplash) and motor vehicle injuries.
Outside of the office, Dr. Troy enjoys traveling, sports, working out, and spending time with his wife and daughters. He is very excited to join the Symmetry team, and will immediately bring more value to the community we serve.
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Brett Black, D.P.T.
Dr. Brett grew up in western Wisconsin where he also attended UW - La Crosse for his undergraduate degree. With his Bachelor's degree in exercise sports science, he then traveled to Sioux City, Iowa where he completed his doctorate degree in physical therapy at Briar Cliff University.
Dr. Brett enjoys working with each individual patient to come up with a game-plan for their specific lifestyle and condition. He utilizes hands-on techniques mixed with specific exercises to help each person regain their function. His goal is to get to know the individual and provide whole person care to help them achieve their personal goals. In his free time, Dr. Brett loves spending time outdoors and being active. Whether it is hiking, kayaking, hunting, fishing, or playing sports like disc golf, you can usually find him and his wife, Hannah, with their dog, Oakley, in nature.

Over the past several years I have experienced the benefits of chiropractic care and physical therapy. It has helped me stay healthy and active, even during some health challenges.
Now, as the Front Desk Manager, it is so rewarding to be a part of a team of professionals who truly cares about helping people stay healthy and active, even in the midst of their own health issues.
In my spare time I love to travel with my husband and 3 kids, play board games, watch movies, play golf and frisbee golf, listen to 70's and 80's music with my husband and cuddle with our dog and cat. I also enjoy watching sports events, including the Minnesota Gophers, Twins, Vikings and my Iowa Hawkeyes (born and raised in Iowa).
